Gebraucht, Knabe

This Knabe Ampico B grand piano was built in 1934 in Baltimore, USA. One of the few grand pianos built with the highly-praised Ampico B system.
When restored to factory condition, this system is capable of exceptionally musical life-like performance of the masters of the beginning of the 20th century like Rachmaninov.
It can easily perfom as good, or even better than a contemporary digital system.

The dark burl walnut artcase is very beautiful.

It comes with its original duo-seat piano bench.

The Ampico player system is being restored in our workshop. New soundboard, new stringing, new pinblock, rebuilt action, reguilded frame.

When finished, it is worthy of a place in a museum.
