We recently bought 12 pianos from vanderbilt university, and this was the largest one of the bunch. The university had an on-staff technician that kept these pianos in incredible playing condition. This one has new hammers, shanks, flanges, and has been restrung as well. The case is typical of many institutions... It has dings, small dents, and scratches. We have cleaned and buffed the piano, and gotten the case looking much better than it did. Case is perhaps a 7.75 on a 10 scale. Looks very presentable. The action, strings, pins, and internals are at least a 9 on a 10 scale. It has a deep, resonant thundering bass, and a crisp, clear midrange and treble. It is one of the better sounding concert grands you'll find. We could not find a serial number on this piano, but the era of a kg-8c would suggest it was made in the late 70's to early 80's. Comes with a matching bench as well.
