Usado, Steinway & Sons, O-180

An early-era Steinway & Sons Model O—5'10¾" (180 cm)—offering the warm, richly coloured tone characteristic of this “miniature grand.” Built in 1901 in New York (Serial No: 101514) and finished in polished ebony, this instrument has been fully rebuilt and prepared for regular use.

Restoration highlights (structural and cabinet): premium Ciresa Italian soundboard; new bass and tenor combination agraffes; new premium German Heller strings; new hexagrip laminated hardrock maple pinblock; and a completely re-bronzed, lacquered cast-iron plate.

Action and mechanics: fitted with new premium German Abel hammers; full damper restoration using genuine Steinway damper felts and regulation to Steinway specifications; complete keyboard and action rebuild using genuine Steinway hammer shanks, flanges and repetitions, with final regulation to Steinway standards.

This Model O preserves the design features of the early Steinway grands while delivering a sonority that exceeds expectations for an instrument under six feet. The piano is currently in stock and offered with a comprehensive warranty and included services.
