Description de l’annonce
This Bösendorfer is a concert model from the second half of the 1840s. The serial number (2966) allows us to ascribe it to around 1848 and it is the same model used by Franz Liszt in his Viennese concertos. It is a model with Viennese mechanics that is still entirely original. The hammers retain their original felt covering (inner layer) and leather (outer layer). The soundboard is still in excellent condition. The inside of the keyboard cover is richly decorated with gold and mother-of-pearl inlays.
The piano is in need of restoration, but the mechanism is still largely functional and the condition of the cabinet is excellent.
In addition to being a very rare example of a historical piano, its excellent state of preservation, combined with the absence of any restorations that have altered its historical characteristics, make it an excellent base as an instrument that, after appropriate restoration, can be used for concerts or recordings on historical instruments.
