Description de l’annonce
9’ Steingraeber & Söhne Concert Grand – E 272. Rarely does one of these masterpieces surface in the USA. Steingraeber is a very exclusive manufacturer of completely hand-made instruments, and is one of three world-wide companies still under the ownership of the founding family. The “Rolls-Royce” of the piano industry, Steingraeber instruments are the paradigm by which all other pianos are compared. SF Symphony pianist Robin Sutherland, Composer Gordon Getty, Grammy nominee Barbara Higbie and SF International Piano Festival director Jeffrey LaDeur are just a few of the Bay Area Steingraeber loyalists.
This Concert Grand was custom made in 2008 for a discriminating local client. The cabinet is in high polished ebony, and has intricate Birds-eye Maple inlays on the music desk, fallboard and inner rim. The keyboard has genuine ebony sharps, and rarely found Laukhuff Mammoth Ivory keytops (mineral based) for naturals. Steingraeber designs its own hammers (and action), which is manufactured for them by the Renner company in Stuttgart from wool acquired from herds owned by Steingraeber. Additionally, this piano was custom built with two sets of legs and pedals, with one set designed to accommodate extremely tall pianists, and the other at standard heights.
R.KASSMAN has placed a full new-piano warranty on this instrument.
Currently, Steingraeber E-272 is priced at $300,000. This impeccable instrument can be purchased at a fraction of its current cost.
