Splendid Steinway & Sons Style 2 from 1869, representative of the very first concert grands signed by Steinway. The instrument has been returned to its original condition through a complete restoration: the original "rocker" mechanism has been preserved and restored, a feature that makes this piano extremely rare. The case is entirely veneered in rosewood; the legs and lyre are finely hand-carved, a testament to the craftsmanship of the period. The keyboard comprises 88 keys with original ivory keytops and ebony black keys.
