Description de l’annonce
I have for sale an antique piano with museum value of renowned, world-famous manufactory "Julius Bluthner", which began producing pianos in 1853. The piano in the upper left and lower right corners of the soundboard has the serial number "1646" stamped on it. From the list of the serial numbers of "Bluthner" instruments available on the Internet, it appears that my piano was nanufactured in the years 1855-1860. The piano has straight string system - such pianos were produced before 1875. After opening the top cover, above the pins, we have factory stamped names of A,E,A,E ... etc, which proves that the piano was manufactured before 1880. The scale of the piano (AAA-a4) starts with the note "A" and ends with the upper "A", and keyboard has 85 keys, which proves that it was produced in the years 1850-1880. I the upper left corner of the soundboard is the logo of the company "L.Isermann" from Hamburg. At the time it was one of the best manufacturers of mechanics for pianos and grand pianos. After opening the keyboard cover, there is an inscription :
Julius Bluthner
Konigl. Sachs. Hof = copper seal Pianofortefabrikant
Leipzig
The seal has the coat of arms of King Johann Wettyn of Saxony who reigned in the years
1854-1873. The use of the coat of arms of King of Saxony by Blthner's manufactory was certainly a great distinction for him, recognition for the quality of the instruments made and placed him among the best piano manufacturers in the world. It also certain that my piano was made during the reign of Johann Wettyn King of Saxony, most probably in 1856 or 1857. Around the coat of arms there is an inscription : "Johann von Gottes Gnaden Konig von Sachsen C&C&C", which in translation means ; "John by the will of God King of Saxony. Admittedly, not a piano, but a grand piano with identical inscriptions and the coat of arms of the King of Saxony can be found in the concert hall of the Dresden Palace and on the Bluthner website, which can be seen in the pictures. This proves that these are instruments of historical value, whose place in a concert halls or museums. The white keys are made of ivory and the black keys are made of ebony wood. They are undamaged. The piano has : two candlestics, two side handles and two pedals for playing loud or soft. All components are made of brass. The body of the piano made of rosewood . The piano was professionally restored in 2000. To sum up, it should be said that the piano for sale has over 165 years of dokumented history and was created at a time when Saxony was not yet part of Germany, but a separate Kingdom. This certainly one of the few copies of such an old piano, remebering the beginnings of piano production, which began to be produced in Julius Blithner's workshop in 1853. A great rarity.
