Description de l’annonce
I'm selling my beloved C. Bechstein Concert 8, "The King of Pianos", as you know if you're reading this.
It was built in 1968, according to the Bechstein archives, and it has just had a complete renovation, using the exact materials as the original, Abel hammers, Roslau strings, etc., by Steinway Spain's favourite technician.
The cabinet was done in the highly elegant satin black, and it even has the correct C. Bechstein decals in gold, to match the shiny brass. It comes with a matching double piano stool, also with the C. Bechstein logo and the Bechstein key!
The keys and brass have been polished and the piano looks and plays better than a brand new one, but still retaining the solidity and magic of one of the best periods of the Berlin factory and, of course, it has the original Renner action, which you no longer get these days for any money.
The piano is on a ground floor just outside Barcelona, and a trip to this wonderful city to see and play it is definitely worth your time, if you're seriously looking for THE Concert 8.
Transport to most parts of France would only be around 6/700 Euros and I will gladly recommend my transporter, who is the top man in Barcelona for pianos.
I am selling it below the lowest asking price for any Concert 8 after the 1950's, relatively still a 'modern' piano.
This is your chance to own the piano that many professionals consider the best in the world, upright or grand, at a reasonable price and with the guarantee of a superbly high level renovation to back it up.
Again if you're reading this, you already know that a new one is in the 50K area, and most 'modern' (and even some ancient ones!) examples are always over 18K.
I will be happy to answer any questions about this gem of a piano, even over WhatsApp. I speak English, French, Spanish and Italian.
