Description
This beautifully restored grandpiano is Art Deco at its best! It will therefore look very nice in a house from the 1920s and 1930s. But it will also look great as a showpiece in a modern, sleek living space. An additional advantage of the special shape of the bell wing is that the top lid can be opened in 3 possible positions. This allows the sash to stand in any corner of the room.
Almost everyone is familiar with the familiar shape of a grand piano. Less well known is an example like this, the so-called clockgrand. The grand has a symmetrical tail. Thanks to this shape, the angle of the bass strings is much larger and the length of the string increases as a result. This results in more sound.
The grand piano has a modest length of 135 cm, but sound-technically is certainly not below a traditional grand piano with a length of, for example, 170 cm.
The grandpiano have been extensively restored by us, including the following:
- Action restored, in very good condition
- Soundboard cleaned and provided with a new layer of varnish
- Classic black French polished.
- Keyboard (ivory) restored and input sheet renewed
- Conical pre-pressure nozzles applied for the ultimate touch
- Damping felt renewed
- Bass strings and steel strings renewed to the original dimensions
- Tuning pins have been renewed which are executed in the authentic 'blau' colour
- Tuned, adjusted and intoned
