Rippen 170 grand piano — one-piece cast aluminium frame, restored

The famous Rippen aluminium grand piano. The only grand piano worldwide with this particular design. These grand pianos are extremely rare, as relatively few were made. This is a completely restored example. <br /><br />This grand piano is special not only because of the striking design, but also technically. Normally the frame of a grand piano is made of cast iron and the case of wood. However, on this grand piano the exterior and frame are formed together from a single cast piece of aluminium. The aluminium is painted metallic gold and all wooden parts are new high-gloss black.
