Used, Steinway & Sons, A-188

This magnificent Steinway & Sons concert grand model A has been restored to like new condition. It was built in 1911.
Length 188 cm. It is ideal for professionals as well as suitable for your livingroom.

The keys are covered with Tharan, excellent replacement for ivory. Used on new Steinway pianos as well.

The full restorations consists of the following work:

- completely new original Steinway & sons top-action (consisting of hammers, shanks, whippens and even the frame with tubes is new)
- new high gloss black polyester
- new studio wheels in brass (see picture)
- frame reguilded in original Steinway gold laquer
- new bass strings from the Steinway factory
- new Roslau steel strings
- all felts replaced with original Steinway parts
- new original Steinway agraphes
- new Strunz soundboard

Het grand piano action has had a full rebuilt:
- new original Steinway & sons hammerheads and shanks
- new original Steinway & sons whippens/underlevers
- all parts weighed and callibrated according to the Precision Touch Design method

This grand piano has 3 pedals. Wanted by professional pianists.
Plays souple, equal troughout the whole keyboard and smooth.
Has its tipical Steinway sounds, full and rich, without being metallic.
