Description
The Steinway & Sons model B-211 is a used, acoustic grand piano originally manufactured in 1883. With a serial number of 50521, this historic instrument was authentically restored in 2022. It measures 148 cm in width and 211 cm in length, and has 85 keys and 2 pedals.
The grand piano is black and has been refinished with a high-gloss shellac finish, giving it a highly attractive appearance. An important detail is that many original parts were retained during the restoration, including action levers and hammer shanks, underscoring the authenticity and historical integrity of the instrument. In addition, this model features natural key coverings and comes with a 60-month warranty, which is remarkable for an instrument of its age.
The grand was originally built in New York and was delivered on October 4, 1884 to a Steinway dealer in Frankfurt. This historically significant origin, combined with its careful restoration, makes it a top offering for collectors and musicians alike. The instrument is not only a piece of music history but, thanks to its restoration, also a fully functioning, high-quality piano that reflects the famous sound quality of Steinway & Sons.
For musicians seeking an exceptional instrument with a rich history and excellent tonal quality, the Steinway & Sons model B-211 represents an outstanding choice. Its restoration, focused on preserving original parts, offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of 19th-century piano craftsmanship with modern playability.
The instrument is delivered by me personally (up to 600 km from the workshop) and is tuned on site and possibly fine-tuned afterwards.
