Description
Offered is a Steinway & Sons M-170, length 170 cm. Technical details: length 170 cm, width approx. 150 cm, weight around 270 kg. The instrument dates from around 1925 (serial number 235537).
The piano was extensively refurbished by hand in 2023. During the overhaul new strings and high-quality tuning pins were fitted. The entire tone and action mechanism was also renewed: original Steinway hammer heads, new damper felts, new hammer shanks with rollers, and new Renner lifting components — all relevant action parts have thus been replaced.
Condition and workmanship have been fundamentally refreshed by the restoration mentioned. If interested, we are happy to provide further information about the technical condition and equipment.
