This Kawai GX-3 presents a rich, expressive sound and responsive touch in a versatile 188 cm grand. Built for demanding players, it features Kawai’s patented Millennium III ABS-Carbon action and NEOTEX key surfaces that improve moisture management and control.

The instrument’s rim, constructed using the Konsei Katagi process, together with a vertically laminated bridge capped in solid maple, promotes balanced tone and efficient energy transfer. Dual duplex scaling, a permanently crowned solid spruce soundboard and carefully developed scale geometry add sustain and harmonic depth. The design also incorporates an extended keystick length and concert-length key buttons to maximise power and consistency across the keyboard.

Construction and hardware highlights include multi-grip 11-ply pinblock, solid brass agraffes, a steel-reinforced multi-laminated keybed and keyslip, and a V-Pro grey iron plate. Practical appointments comprise a hard-finish music desk, brass lid prop cup, lid prop stopper, spade-style legs, bevelled lid edges and a single caster for controlled movement. The fallboard uses an ultra-slow soft-fall system and the music rack adjusts to five angles.
