Deze Knabe Ampico type A vleugel is gebouwd in 1927 in Amerika. Eén van de laatste vleugels met het Ampico A systeem. Het instrument is vermoedelijk nieuw gekocht door de eigenaar van een bekende chocolade fabriek in Engeland.
Bijzonder aan deze pianola is o.a. de originele 220 Volt motor. In de VS wordt 110 Volt gebruikt.
De vleugel heeft een pallisander kast en bijzondere poten.
Nieuwe besnaring in 2008.

While the Ampico is not extinct, the number of properly operating pianos with The Ampico is small. These wonderful instruments can still be brought back to their original glory. The Ampico brought excellent music to the home of the early 20th century….and also today.
The Ampico is a “Reproducing” player. The paper rolls include dynamic coding as well as notes, giving realism to the musical performance. The rolls were produced with sophisticated recording and editing techniques.
