A dream: Hundred years ago, in a humble japan workshop, koichi kawai boated on a spiritual journey with the desire of designing and manufacturing a piano that one day would be called. "The excellent". A generation later, this dream burst intensely in the heart of shigeru kawai.

Pianos are very honest. They always tell you how they feel when you play them gently! This hand crafted SK3 Shigeru Kawai arrived today and we assembled it straight out of the box.

With no tuning, no voicing, nothing except to remove the packaging we decided to make this video so as to show you that even after travelling thousands of miles by sea and freight; even after all the temperature changes it experienced in transit; even after the different humidity changes; even after the numerous forklifts and movements, we want to show you why a Shigeru Kawai is simply the most perfect piano that any serious pianist can play.

The tone is not just amazing for 188cm, but the touch is as gentle and responsive as the wind on your face. You will not find this tone from a Steinway A and yet you will pay double the money.

You will not feel the subtle gradations in the touch as you will in this Shigeru Kawai. We only ever know the value and worth of anything when it is put to the test. This Shigeru has been tested and it makes us take notice of beautiful piano music and reminds us just how superior some pianos are.
