Grotrian Steinweg is one of the oldest and most prestigious piano manufacturers in the world, founded in 1831 and still active today.
All Grotrian-Steinweg pianos are built manually by the best German craftsmen and have the following peculiarities:
WOOD
The body is constructed using robust selected red beech and the soundboard is made of mountain spruce with a minimum age of 200 years, so that the rings are extremely thin and homogeneous.
THE STAR BACK-FRAME
The star-shaped backrest, patented by GROTRIAN as early as 1905, has been used since the beginning of the 20th century because it was considered the best construction for absorbing tension.
GLUING
A special press works at 90 C and uses two-component water-resistant glues to glue the various parts of the piano to guarantee resistance to humidity in any region of the world.
CHASSIS
The combination of an iron frame and wooden backrest withstands a string tension of over 20 tons.
Possibility of installing the silent to play in headphones with advice from the tuner.
