Description
Just finished from our workshop, this truly beautiful and elegant Wilhelm Schimmel from the Leipzig factory . A fine example of a piano from the 'golden era' of European/German piano building.
The piano has a special appearance with original Art Deco elements. There are nice contrivances to be found in the piano. For example, the tube light at the top of the piano , it cannot be seen at first glance. However, pressing the brass lever on the side tilts the lamp and turns it on automatically.
The restoration of this beautiful piano has consisted of:
- Damping completely renewed
- New ABEL Germany hammerheads
- Action completely overhauled, including new crowning.
- Keyboard provided with new input sheet
- The original and high quality ivory on the piano keys has been overhauled and polished.
- Polished/French Polish in mahogany high gloss.
The sound of this special Schimmel piano is incredibly beautiful and plays pleasantly light!
