This is a superior piano in every way. The case is stunning. The sound is clear, bright, and stunning. I used the Wessell Nickel and Gross action parts on this piano because they are lighter, and the older Steinway Pianos have a tendency toward heaviness with modern action parts. The result is a light, fast action. I have had very fine pianists try this piano. Their initial reaction varies. However, as they continue to play they realize that there is less effort necessary to play, and that the action is faster than what they are used to. The consensus is that within a few hours they would be able to control the speed of the action, and their playing might well benefit.
