The Nordiska 109 upright (109 cm) combines careful material selection with precise assembly to produce a balanced, reliable instrument. Its soundboard is crafted from solid spruce, offering a total vibrating area of 1,786 sq. inches, supported by a pre‑crowned design with nine ribs. Tuning stability is provided by a 19‑ply Dehonit Red Beech pinblock, while the action and hammers are factory‑fitted Nordiska components for consistent touch and tone.

The bass string length measures 42.4 inches (#1), and the back posts are built from high‑quality spruce. The bridge and cap are solid European beech, hand‑planed to ensure accurate downbearing. Structural rigidity is enhanced by a sand‑cast plate, and the keybed uses laminated spruce combined with hardwood for durability. Each key is made from solid spruce and individually weighted to achieve an even touch across the keyboard.

Performance controls include three solid brass pedals, with the central pedal serving as a practice (mute) function. The cabinet is finished in a durable high‑gloss polyester. This model is offered in Ebony or Mahogany finishes.
