Description
A design that unites the piano with the pianist, inheriting the tradition of the CF series

The CX series pianos are characterised by a completely revised design. Following in the footsteps of the CF series concert grand pianos, the design of the CX series is characterised by simple, elegant lines, with a focus on the legs while all excess ornamentation has been eliminated. The instrument's elegance is complemented by a solid pedal housing that allows the player to press the pedal as hard as desired; an aspect of the 'functional design' philosophy that allows pianists to become one with the instrument. In order to ensure the best possible playability, the CX series grand pianos offer white keys made of Ivorite® that have a touch, colour and feel very similar to natural ivory, while natural ebony was used for the black keys.

The CX series of pianos offer better support and rich sound with excellent resonance thanks to the thicker back frame

One of the most important factors in achieving a rich sound is the support offered within the instrument. When playing powerful fortissimo the force exerted on the instrument causes it to sway slightly, dissipating energy. The part of the piano that supports this force and turns it into reverberation is called the back frame and can be likened to the skeleton of the human body. In the CX models this back frame is thicker than in other pianos, thus offering significantly better support and constituting one of the principles on which the CX series was completely redesigned.

The new soundboard resonates in tune with the player's emotions

The same techniques developed for gluing the soundboard, ribs and bridge of the CFX models are used for the CX series, and the process of installing and assembling the soundboard inside the piano body has been carefully studied. This resulted in improved projection and unprecedented response.

Revolutionary new harmonic steel provides pleasant sustain and harmony

The CX series uses harmonic steel that produces a rich sound with a rich complexity of sound tracks in the middle and upper registers. Combined with the support of a solid frame, it enables the CX series pianos to realise a rich, harmonic sound.

Hammers based on those of the CFX series

High-quality hammers are essential for producing an expressive and malleable sound. The CX Series uses the same felts as the CFX models, adjusted to fit the dimensions of each instrument in the series, which ensures that the CX Series pianos possess a range of sound colourations and an expressive, nuanced sound.
