Instrument produced by Erard in June 1894 and sold the following month as reported in the house register. One of the rare Erards with three frame bars. Frisée rosewood finish. Partially restored in 2006 because the soundboard and windchest are still in excellent condition.
The strings, tuning pegs, hammers and dampers have been changed.
Polished ivory fingerboard. Pad polishing of the cabinet.
Unique sound, used in 2007 for the recording of the musical bases of Gabriel Fauré's Mèlodies for Casa Ricordi and Stradivarius.
