The B252 is modeled after Baldwin’s largest vertical piano, and provides as much total soundboard area as Baldwin celebrated R1 grand piano. This piano features a special design that supports longer bass strings, which are more common in taller uprights and produce a rich and very resonant tone normally associated with a grand piano.

The B252 is housed in a beautiful, classically-styled wooden enclosure that fits beautifully in any décor – from traditional to contemporary to school to rehearsal hall. The soundboard and rib material are constructed of spruce, while the precision-notched bridge material is made from hard rock maple. The carefully designed geometry of its Full Blow™ Direct Stealth Action delivers an exceptionally responsive touch. The European-style keys are made from genuine European spruce, and all corners of the keys are rounded and polished for an elegant, sophisticated look. The keys are also covered with a special coating that resists stains and chipping.
